Where can I get list of foods (for a week's diet plan) good for a diabetic person?
WITH ALL DIET COMPONENT AVAILABLE IN THE PHILIPPINES.
My dad, 47, has a diabetes (type 2) and I wanna give him his weekly diet plan from now on after he has reached a sugar level (?) of 14 recently. All the food should be available in our country, or at least here in Asia. All I found on-line were either UK- or US-based.

A blood sugar of 14 is TOO HIGH.
If you are using those standards, it should be around 4.5-7.0!!!!
I don't know what type of food you do have available, but check this site for all kinds of info:

You should concentrate on limiting cereals, grains, root veggies, soft sweet fruits, milk products and concentrate on green leafy stuff, tomatoes, peppers, meats, and cheeses.
Try making a food plan on http://www.sparkpeople.com with a carbohydrate limit of 100 grams to 150 grams per day including a snack.
I try hard to keep mine at that level but including a "cheat treat" of something I really like once during the week. Mine is chocolate cake! I try hard to keep my foods in balance of 1/3 each carbohydrates, fats and proteins.
Sparkpeople is a free site, must register to use the food planner guide. Totally safe site with lots of support available. I think you will find it is world wide in its guidelines.
